Emergency Evacuations: Planning for the Whole School Community

On Wednesday, June 27, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EDT, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Safe and Healthy Students and REMS TA Center will host a Webinar on how K-12 schools and school districts can better prepare for an evacuation after an emergency.

Presenters will discuss issues related to identifying on- and off-site assesmbly areas; transportation considerations, such as the use of mutual aid agreements; meeting the needs of students with disabilities or access and functional needs; and share lessons at the local level. This event will also feature a dedicated 15-minute Q&A session during which presenters will field questions from participants.
